How to make Chicken Fried Rice easily

Chicken fried rice is mainly Asian recipe. This is widely cooked in India, Pakistan, Indonesia and China. This recipe is supposed to be one of the simple and most tasty recipes that can be prepared in very less time. Let us see how to prepare this.

Ingredients:

1 cup of mixed vegetables, finely chopped

1 cup of cubed boneless chicken pieces, boiled for 10 mins

1 small bunch of celery stalks, finely chopped 

1 small bunch of spring onions, finely chopped 

1 teaspoon of green chilli sauce

1 tablespoon of freshly minced ginger + garlic

1 teaspoon of freshly cracked black pepper

1-2 tablespoon of oil

2 teaspoon of tomato sauce 

2 teaspoon of soya sauce

2 medium sized onions, sliced

4 cups of cooked rice 





The method of preparation:

Step 1: 

First, take the chicken pieces and boil separately in water for about 10-12 mins until the flesh turns thick. Once you are done with boiling, you are able to shred the boiled cube it to pieces. Mix this with 1 tsp pepper powder, some salt, and 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste. Allow it to marinate for 10 mins. Take a shallow pan and lightly saute in some oil. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: 

Heat some more oil in the same pan and add the onions. Let them fry on medium heat till it turns golden brown (Be careful !don’t let them brown too much). Then, add the ginger + garlic and fry for 2 mins.

Step 3: 

Add finely chopped vegetables, celery and mix well. Cook for 2-3 mins until they wilt just a bit. Then add the soya sauce, tomato sauce, and green chilli sauce. Fry on high heat until the sauces bubble and reduce flame to medium-high. Don’t forget to stir constantly. Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 mins. The vegetables should be cooked yet crunchy and not mushy or soft. If you are not using vegetables, you can skip to the next step after adding the sauces. But it is always recommended to add at least some carrots or capsicum to chicken fried rice to enhance the flavour.

Step 4: 

You are almost done now. Finally, add the cooked rice and chicken pieces and stir well to combine. Remove from fire, check for salt and add more if required. Add the pepper powder and spring onions and mix well. Pat down into a tight mound and keep partially covered for 30 mins before serving.

Step 5:

You can garnish as you please before serving. Serve hot with Chilli sauce and Tomato sauce.
